Checking in from Dallas

I’m here at the RWA National conference and I’m so excited because I have a whopping 13 authors here (as well as a few others who I want to meet and talk to). Things are going to be crazy, but I’m going to revel in that craziness. I love getting to reconnect with my authors so we can career plan, talk about works-in-progress and gossip about all of the fun (and sometimes not so fun) stuff that has happened since the last time we saw each other. Here they are in all their glory at the literacy signing yesterday and I must say I’m strutting around arrogantly because they’re all mine (picture me cackling and you’ll have an idea of how excited I am). They appear in the following order: Karen Anders, Lori Avocato, Mari Mancusi & Liz Maverick (who aren’t mine, but I’m claiming them b/c they look so great in those outfits), Rob Preece (who I didn’t get to see, but I added a photo I had of him anyway) Anne Elizabeth, Barb Caridad Ferrer, Kelley St. John, Caridad Pineiro, Ann DeFee, Anna J. Evans, Dianna Love Snell, Faye Hughes & Christie Craig (who are collaborating on a guide to writing romances) and Jennifer Echols.

I know it's not possible for a black person to turn green with envy, but whatever color it is, I have a heavy coating of it now! :) Good for you!

It was a fun conference so I'm definitely encouraging more people to attend (even if you don't write romance). Thanks for the kind words! I don't think I got sleep the entire time I was there.
